About Maya

Coach. Psychologist. Trusted partner for leaders who mean it.

My Story

I didn't start as a coach. I started as a researcher. My PhD at Stanford focused on how organizational cultures either enable or diminish the people inside them. After a decade in academia and corporate consulting, I realized the most powerful lever wasn't the system — it was the person at the top.

I became a coach because I wanted to work where change actually happens: in the room, one leader at a time. Since 2009, I've worked with CEOs, VPs, board members, and founders across tech, healthcare, finance, and the nonprofit sector.

My clients describe the work as "rigorous, warm, and surprisingly practical." That's the combination I aim for — because insight without action is just interesting conversation.

My Approach

Evidence-Based

I draw on organizational psychology, neuroscience, and adult development theory. Not trends. Not pop-psych frameworks.

Whole-Person

Leadership is embodied. We work with mindset, behavior, and how you physically show up under pressure — because all three matter.

Practically Grounded

Every session produces a next action. Insight is valuable; so is the behavior change that follows it.
